Summer time!

Austin has been dying to get outside every chance we can get. We have done a couple of outdoor activities with our friends Jake and Cassie, including going on a picnic by the Snake River and making tin foil dinner and smores around a campfire. We also visited Ashley and Rebecca when we had to run down to Utah for a day and got ice cream at Farr's. Mmmmmm!

Cooking with Keely

Now that my internship is officially over, I have had a lot more time around the house. I have used some of this time to read, sew, and craft, but I have also dedicated some of the time to our new goal of finding good things to eat. In the first picture, I made a seared chicken and artichoke pasta (my friend Leilani made up the recipe and it is delicious!) Today we made spinach manicotti (I just got that recipe off the back of a box, but it's really good too). I made most of the meal myself, but Austin helped toward the end and I couldn't keep him out of the fresh parmesan. I was especially excited for this recipe because it uses a lot of bowls- and I love using as many of my colored bowls as possible. (Austin's mom, Kate, bought them for our wedding and they are my favorite things in the kitchen.) We also used our fancy pan that his friend bought us for the wedding (I didn't use it for the first few months because I didn't want to ruin it.) If anyone thinks that these recipes sound good, just let me know and I'll get the recipe to you!
