Ten Months

Our little Leif is 10 months old and in a hurry to get big so he can do what his big brother does. Leif crawled on his hands and knees once a couple weeks ago, but never since. He is quite content to army crawl his way around the house, then once he gets where he wants to go, he is getting really good at pulling himself up. He mostly pulls himself up in the bathtub (I can't get the kid to stay on his naked little bum) or by the front window where he likes to look out to see what is happening. Leif is getting really good at sleeping at night and sleeps in about a 7 hour stretch most nights. I typically put him down to sleep, feed him just before I go to sleep (sometimes not until right after I have fallen asleep) then he sleeps until early morning when he wants to eat again and then snooze until its time to get up. Leif likes to mimic us and does this really funny thing with Austin where they swing their heads back and forth. I'm not sure who started it originally, but its really cute to watch. It was a bit of a hectic day, so I didn't get the chance to take nice photos of Leif like I wanted to, but Austin caught a few of the boys looking out licking the window together. They thought it was hilarious. I couldn't figure out why there was so much giggling coming from their direction, but when Austin showed me the pictures, I understood. Guess its time to wash the windows, again.

Leif in the Grass

I got some good photos of Leif today too while I was waiting for Asher to come close enough to get some of him. Leif is easier to photograph because he can't run away from me :)

26 Months

Asher is getting bigger by the day. He seems to be more helpful, observant, and talkative each day. Its so fun to watch him discovering new things. Asher is a little parrot lately. He will copy almost everything we say, or at least the last few syllables of it. He picks up on things like crazy. Sometimes he will do something that I have no idea how he figured out how to do it. His big thing right now is measuring and fixing things. He takes Austin's little measuring tape all over with him to measure whatever comes across his path and he takes the "driver" (Austin's screw driver) around looking for any screw he can find. He has a little set of plastic tools that he uses sometimes too, but of course its much more fun with Daddy's real tools. Here are the photos I got of him today.

Labor Day Adventures

For Labor Day, we went up to Estes Park as a family. We looked around the shops for awhile, which was fun, but got a little old after a bit. We had packed a lunch, so we headed back down the canyon to find a spot to eat. Both boys fell asleep in the car, but didn't get a real nap, so they were groggy and a little grumpy. We found a big flat rock in the river where we sat and ate our lunch. We were a little worried about the boys falling into the river the whole time we were eating, but we avoided any fiasco like that :) Here are some photos from the day
