Park Day

In between snow storms, we have been having some pretty warm weather. Couple that with Austin being home (i.e. we can use the car) and needing to work (i.e. he needs the boys out of his hair) and we have been logging a lot of hours at the park. We have been to 3 different parks over 4 park-days this week. The boys LOVE it and its so nice to have them get some energy out. Asher runs all over the place getting into whatever he can while Leif prefers to stick by me, but still wants to explore all the fun things he sees. Asher is funny with other kids- he wants to play with them, but he's still too young to have many social skills, so he just runs up to them and stares at them waiting for them to initiate something. When he runs up to older kids, they usually get the hint and try to include him in whatever they are doing. (He had lots of fun playing on the merry-go-round with some 7 or 8 year old girls.) But when he runs up to younger kids, they usually just stare back at him. Leif loves to sit on the ground and play in the wood chips or sand on the ground while he watches other kids play. Leif is also a huge fan of climbing up the stair and going down the slide and insists that he can do it himself. Today is the only day that I got pictures, but they are pretty much the same as every other day.

Here are some videos of Leif and the slide. He stuck to feet first quite a few times, but then figured out that it was a lot quicker to go face first. Silly boy!
