The Incredible, No-Snow-Needed Snowman

The boys, especially Leif, have been eager for it to snow so we could make a snowman. They get really excited when it looks cloudy. We have been teased a few times with a dusting of snow, but nothing substantial enough to even stick to the ground. So, I decided to create a way for the boys to make snowmen without snow- Marshmallows! They loved the idea- you can't eat a real snowman when you are done with it- at least it wouldn't taste nearly as good. We just used a tooth pick to hold three marshmallows together, used broken pretzel sticks for the arms, left over candy corn for the nose, and mini chocolate chips for the eyes (this was Asher's idea). I'm sure we could have thought up more ways to dress up our snowmen, but this made them more than happy. I tried to incorporate a few oreos we had- maybe as part of a top hat, but that idea never got realized and the boys just ate the oreos instead. It was an afternoon snack with a lot more sugar than usual, but the boys were delighted with it :)
