ELEVEN MONTHS

Wow- I can't believe Little Miss is getting so old already! I know she is still a baby, but it seems like its slipping by so fast. Heidi is still quite the delight to be around most of the time. She has a few crabby moments (especially since she has been getting teeth) and sometimes seems to get fussy for no real reason, but overall, she is still a very pleasant little girl 99% of the time.
Heidi loves to clap lately, especially when we say "Yea, Heidi" and clap too. She loves peek-a-boo. She uses her hands to hide her eyes and then peeks out waiting for a surprised reaction. Our church is in the afternoon, and the last class is right over her afternoon nap. This ends up being a bit miserable for us since there is no way she will sleep with all the excitement and people around, but she gets fussy really easily since she is tired. This Sunday I had exhausted all the toys I had to entertain her, so I just put her little blankie over her face and she entertained herself with peek-a-boo for at least 20 minutes. Another of Heidi's favorite games is to pass things back and forth. Sometimes she does it with me, Austin, or someone else. Other times she just puts everything in a pile in one place, then moves the whole pile one and a time to another place. Austin has taught her how to give high-fives, but she seems to be mostly interested in playing this game only with him, although she will do it with me occasionally.
Heidi has finally started actual crawling on her hands and knees and sometimes I lose her because she crawls off too quickly from where I put her down. She likes to hold onto things and pop her little bum up into the air and try to stand, but she isn't really good at that yet. The bathtub seems to be a perfect height for her to do this and she has figured that out quickly. Several times when she has crawled off and gotten lost, I found her in the bathroom practicing standing next to the tub. Asher has now deemed it unsafe for her to be in a dark room alone and goes around closing the doors to any room without the lights on. There are other reasons I would not like her in the bathroom alone, but I'll take any help I can get to keep track of her :)
Here are some photos I got of her this afternoon. As you can see, she was quite interested in her brothers for some of them.

And here is a bonus picture from a few days ago showing how much Heidi loves strawberries:
