Sixteen months

Our little Natalie is 16 months old! She finally walked a couple weeks ago (Trevor and I saw it- she was walking across the kitchen to Trevor) but she hasn't shown much interest in it since then. She's done a few steps here and there and will walk more if someone is holding her hand, but she'd much rather just crawl. Her favorite words right now are "Mom!" (said in a very particular voice, but I'm not sure how to explain it) and "No!" which she says to almost everything whether she means it or not. For the last couple weeks, she has been giving Austin very grumpy looks most of the time. Really, she gives them to everyone, but more to Daddy than anyone else. Its so cute to watch. He plays with her and tries to get her to smile and she really wants to, but she's good at keeping the grumpy look on. She doesn't say many more words consistently, but she often mimics the last word or two from a sentence she hears someone say. She is still quite the snuggler and gives these almost fiercely tight little hugs, especially as I'm holding her and singing to her before nap or bedtime. She is into everything she can possible get into even more than before and loves to color- so much so that she gets very upset if she sees someone else writing or coloring when she is not. She also loves to play with water or stick her hands under a running faucet and is very interested in books. She's still the beloved favorite of all her siblings and is a joy to have around.

Here is a good example of her grumpy face:
