Tobermory

Last week we took a day-long trip to Tobermory, a place we have wanted to go for several years, but never got around to doing. Our friends invited us to go, so we decided sort of last-minute to do it. We had to leave really early for the 3 1/2 hour drive, but none of the kids complained about the early hour or the long drive- they were really excited to get out and do something. We visited Flower Pot Island by taking a little cruise there (we had to wear masks on the boat). We played there for a few hours on the rock beaches before we took the boat back home, then we went to a nearby sandy beach for a few more hours (the camera didn't make it to this beach, so we have no pictures) before heading back home. It made for a very long day, but was memorable and fun.

 The two above pictures make the boys look like they aren't very high off the ground or far from the water, but they actually were up pretty high.
