We drug Austin along on one of our adventures by waiting for a weekend when he could come. We went to Vedawoo in Wyoming. We last went camping here when Heidi was only a few months old and it was very different from what I remembered. I didn't remember all these aspen trees, but they obviously didn't grow this much in 8 years. All I remembered was the big rocks that the kids love climbing- and those were exactly as I remembered.
We started off with a little walk through the aspens to a stream and pond. We had to wash Torben off because the first thing he did was roll in some cow dung. After we got him clean we were going to have a picnic, but Asher got stung by two wasps, so we decided to go climbing instead.
Heidi and Natalie were both a little nervous about the steep climbing, but all three boys were zipping all over and Asher was very helpful with his sisters.
We found a nice, semi-level area to have a picnic and the kids were very amused by Torben making himself a little den behind a big rock.
We played around for awhile, but never got all the way to the top because the girls were too unsure about their footing. Perhaps Austin and the boys will go camping here in the near future.
